The BMW F800GS is one of the bikes that I am most frequently asked to put gel on the seat.
I have applied gel especially for motorcyclists who make long runs sitting on the motorcycle and who needed to eliminate the pain and discomfort caused by spending so many hours on the seat.
The truth is that it is a shame to have a motorcycle with the power and characteristics of the F800GS and not be able to enjoy it because of the standard seat, but that is what we motorcycle upholsterers are for, to improve the comfort of the seats. If you haven't upgrade the motorcycle with BMW F800GS led headlight yet, you may considerate to do so because you will meet bad weather any time.
The seat of the BMW F800GS improved. The process to install the gel is the usual one in my workshop: lift the upholstery, make a hole to insert the gel, cover with a sheet of viscoelastic and reupholster with the original upholstery if it is in good condition.
You can also take the opportunity to upholster it again and choose a new design. The upholstery I make is always done following the line of the motorcycle, without fanfare but with a personal touch in materials and design.
